Plane static scale models

In the winter months I also dedicate myself to static modelling with my children. I rediscovered my models that I used to make over thirty years ago. They were in need of restoration, which we did wherever possible. And then we built 2023 a couple of new kits of contemporary aircraft but also of the past. FW 189A-1 (1:72 from ICM), Pilatus PC-21 (1:72 from MK72), Hawker Hunter FGA.9/Mk. 58 (1:72 from Revell), F-16D Tigermeet 2014 (1:72 from Revell), Spitfire Mk.Vb and Me Bf109E (“Double Kit” 1:48 from Airfix), Blackbird SR-71 with Drone (1:72 from Italeri), Me 262 (1:48 from Italeri) and others.

Christmas eve at the top

Flight with my always reliable Mavic Pro (V1). Christmas eve [20221224] on 1’703 m ASL in Switzerland on the Monte Generoso (Canton of Ticino), near by the border with Italy. The picture was taken in the South direction and under the fog about 60 kilometers away is Milan (Italy). On the ridge you can see the ‘Fiore di Pietra‘ restaurant (Stone Flower) by architect Mario Botta. I have already posted photos of it in the past, here is the link.

We toasted to Christmas and to the New Year with a Prosecco, an hot Tea and a good Panettone. NICE genuine mountains people!

Fly session in Leysin – Swiss Alps

Very nice days at the 11th and 12th of July with our gliders in the Region of Leysin, Swiss Alps. We flow over 2000m ASL (Location Berneuse) the new Ahi, Libelle, Taser, Raven and the nice Supra Expert EL 3.6m. Nice Christmas eve flying with my new DJI, Mavic Mini on Tuesday the 24. December 2019 over the Monte Generoso (1700A ASL), South of Switzerland. Awesome weather, about 10 degrees. Sunset with the “Stone Flower” of architect Mario Botta from Mendrisio.

Hahnenmoos – flying session

First time for team flying4nature on the Hahnenmoos 1950 ASL (Switzerland – Berner Alpen). It’s the “RC glider paradise” of Switzerland (detailed description of this location on http://www.slople.com/). We have found a awesome location to fly and a lot of very kind pilots, who shared the own years of experiences with us! The Stone Flower

Il Fiore di Pietra (The Stone Flower) – on the Monte Generoso 1700m ASL (Switzerland) – is an octagonal creation of the swiss star architect Mario Botta. The building has finished at the start of 2017 and can be reach with a 9km long rack railway or by foot. Pictures have been taken with Mavic Pro DJI on the 24th December 2017.

Hot-air balloon – low flight with big cat

Nice Autumn days for flying and for outdoor activities in Switzerland. Not only for our gliders and drones, but also for a big flying cat (HB-QGU)! It visited in low flight the region of Wauwilermoos-Egolzwil (Lucern-Switzerland), saturday the 14th October. MIAOW!

Elba island and DJI Mavic Pro

Sommer gliders

Fly session (16th-18th June ’17) of Jeizinen 1600m ASL (Valais – Switzerland) with the gliders PCM Taser E (2.o) and my new DLG Libelle (of dream-flight ©). Nice weather, hot temperatures and a lot of awesome lift!
