Plane static scale models

In the winter months I also dedicate myself to static modelling with my children. I rediscovered my models that I used to make over thirty years ago. They were in need of restoration, which we did wherever possible. And then we built 2023 a couple of new kits of contemporary aircraft but also of the past. FW 189A-1 (1:72 from ICM), Pilatus PC-21 (1:72 from MK72), Hawker Hunter FGA.9/Mk. 58 (1:72 from Revell), F-16D Tigermeet 2014 (1:72 from Revell), Spitfire Mk.Vb and Me Bf109E (“Double Kit” 1:48 from Airfix), Blackbird SR-71 with Drone (1:72 from Italeri), Me 262 (1:48 from Italeri) and others.

Fly session in Leysin – Swiss Alps

Very nice days at the 11th and 12th of July with our gliders in the Region of Leysin, Swiss Alps. We flow over 2000m ASL (Location Berneuse) the new Ahi, Libelle, Taser, Raven and the nice Supra Expert EL 3.6m. Spring thermal flight

Sommer gliders

Fly session (16th-18th June ’17) of Jeizinen 1600m ASL (Valais – Switzerland) with the gliders PCM Taser E (2.o) and my new DLG Libelle (of dream-flight ©). Nice weather, hot temperatures and a lot of awesome lift!

Mavic Pro, short review

Wie vor 4 Jahren mit dem Blade 350QX (V1) wird flying4nature kein Schwergewicht im Bereich der Flugaufnahmen mit Copters legen. Jedoch es gehört dazu heutzutage für jede/r “klassische/r” Modellpilot/in für ein Paar gute Aufnahmen auf bzw. über dem Flugfeld oder in der Natur (mit Berücksichtigung der entsprechenden Gesetzgebung) ein Copter dabei zu haben (…meine Behauptung). Mit dem Mavic Pro von DJI decken Sie die für das “normale Volk” heute zur Verfügung stehende Technologie und können somit qualitativ sehr gute Bilder und Videos aufnehmen und gleichzeitig mit den verschiedenen Flugmodis auch Spass haben, welcher mit dem Fliegen eines Copter, meiner Meinung nach, oft fehlt…sorry hier kommt mein Herz als Modellseglerpilot heraus. Ich empfehle das Mavic Pro DJI auf jedem Fall!

Als erster Eindruck nach 2-3 Flügen mit dem Mavic Pro hier unten meine “positiven und negativen” Erlebnisse.

POSITIV

  • Klapprotoren, transportabel;
  • Vielfältige Applikationen und bedienungsfreundliche App;
  • Flugverhalten, Präzision, Stabilität;
  • Gimbal und cam (inkl. Zoom und Richtungsregulierung) sensationell;
  • Sicherheit (Software durchgedacht).

NEGATIV

  • Fernbedienung > etwas zu klein für grosse Hände;
  • Vor dem ersten Flug > erforderliche Anmeldung/Account beim DJI;
  • Tragtasche zu knapp (Ladegerät, 3x LiPo> kein Platz für Combo);
  • zT zu viele Meldungen (Icons) auf der Smartphone während des Fluges;
  • Keine vollständige Bedienungsanleitung in Papierform geliefert.

TIPPS von mir

  1. Bedienungsanleitungen aus der DJI Seite herunterladen und gründlich lesen;
  2. Phasenweise die vielfältigen Funktionalitäten via Smartphone erst üben und nachher fliegen;
  3. Erst in P-Modus das Gerät beherrschen, später auf Sport einsteigen.

RC Paraglider OXY 1.0

Finally a new post! After 1 year in Italy for work and less time for flying, I could spend a week in “my mountains”, the Swiss Alps. I enjoy the vacations time with my RC paraglider OXY 1.0 from Opale (CLICK for review and tecnical specs) in the region of Jeizinen (Gampel).
